🚗 Our Road Trip from LPU to Dharamshala – A Student Escape to mountains After weeks of lectures, assignments, and hostel routines, we finally hit the road — literally! A group of us from Lovely Professional University (LPU) decided to take a break and head to Dharamshala, one of Himachal Pradesh’s most peaceful and scenic hill towns. We booked a private car, packed our bags with jackets, snacks, and playlists — and off we went! 🛣️ The Drive from LPU to Dharamshala We started early in the morning from the LPU campus. The drive to Dharamshala took around 6 to 7 hours, covering about 220 km. The route passed through Jalandhar, Hoshiarpur, and Kangra before winding into the hills. The best part of taking a private car? We took breaks wherever we wanted — tea stalls, viewpoints, or just roadside dhabas. Played our favorite music loud, sang along, and shared stories. No stress about catching buses or dealing with crowds. The views kept getting better — green valleys, c...

🚗 Driving Through the Atal Tunnel – A Modern Marvel in the Himalayas By Buddolla Karthikeya Goud On our trip Himachal Pradesh, one of the most unforgettable experiences was passing through the Atal Tunnel — a stunning example of engineering brilliance set amidst the mighty Himalayas. Built under the Rohtang Pass, this tunnel is not just a road; it’s a gateway to adventure, beauty, and history. 🏔️ What is the Atal Tunnel? Named after India’s former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the Atal Tunnel is the longest highway tunnel in the world above 10,000 feet, stretching for 9.02 kilometers. It connects Manali to Lahaul-Spiti Valley, cutting travel time drastically and allowing year-round access to regions that were once cut off during heavy snowfall. Opened in October 2020, the tunnel is not just important for civilians and tourists, but also for strategic military movement to the borders. 🛣️ Our Journey Through the Tunnel As we approached the tunnel from Manal...

Malana trekk

🌄 Exploring Malana – India’s Hidden Himalayan Village of Mystery By Buddolla Karthikeya Goud Tucked deep within the Parvati Valley of Himachal Pradesh lies a mysterious little village that feels like it belongs to another world — Malana. Known for its ancient customs, distinct culture, and breathtaking scenery, Malana is a place that stays with you long after you’ve left. 🗺️ The Journey to Malana The trek to Malana begins from Jari or Malana Gate, a few kilometers from Kasol. From there, it’s a steep 4 km hike through pine forests, narrow trails, and rocky patches. The climb can be tiring, but the surrounding beauty keeps you going. As we climbed higher, we could hear the gushing of the Malana River far below and the mountain breeze that carried the scent of deodar trees. After about 1.5 to 2 hours of trekking, the first glimpse of Malana village — perched like a forgotten kingdom on a ridge — left us speechless. 🧑‍🤝‍🧑 A Unique Culture Malana is unlik...
