🌋 Manikaran Hot Springs – A Warm Escape After a Wild Kasol Night
After partying hard in Kasol the previous night — lights, music, and those unforgettable memories — we needed something refreshing, spiritual, and grounding. And that’s exactly what we found at Manikaran Hot Springs.
🌄 The Early Morning Ride
We left Kasol early morning, slightly groggy but excited. The sun was slowly lighting up the valley as we drove down the winding roads along the Parvati River. The fresh mountain air mixed with the calm after last night’s madness. You know that feeling when everything is still but powerful? That’s exactly how Manikaran feels.
🔥 What’s So Special About Manikaran?
Manikaran is famous for two things:
- Spiritual Vibes – It’s sacred to both Hindus and Sikhs.
- Natural Hot Springs – Yes, steaming hot water that literally cooks rice and pulses!
You’ll find boiling hot springs all around the Gurudwara complex. The water is so hot, locals use it to cook food for langar (community kitchen). We even dipped our feet in the hot water stream near the bathing area — it was both relaxing and healing, like nature’s own spa.
🛕 The Gurudwara Experience
We visited the Manikaran Sahib Gurudwara — peaceful, clean, and spiritual. Despite the crowd, it had this calm energy that made us all go silent for a moment. Inside, the steam from the hot springs creates a misty, divine atmosphere. We sat quietly, soaking in the warmth — not just from the water, but also from the people and the vibe.
We also had langar — simple dal, rice, and roti — served hot, cooked directly using the geothermal water. It’s crazy how nature and faith come together here.
